How we can find or calculate distance between 2 starts or distance between particular star and earth?
in other words when scientist say that a star "x" is at "n" light year distance, how they derive it?

its not easy to calculate distance between two stars.you need advanced technology and devices as you know universe is in 3d.from earth you will probably see 2d between stars.
